About Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) at Donovan Park
People & animals have the ability to form trusting bonds. When given insights to this & time for reflection on their learnings, participants start to develop new behaviour patterns. This ultimately may have a flow on positive effect into their everyday lives with other people as their social & emotional awareness grows alongside personal growth.
We offer a suite of flexible structured & non-structured programs to suit Private, NDIS or School requirements for either individual or groups up to 6. Assistance with NDIS Line Item numbers is available if required.
Singular sessions are available or a range of packages offering 1 or 2 hour sessions to suit everyone as listed in PRICING.
What is EAL?
Horses are prey animals & humans are predators, so it is quite amazing how the relationship of trust can be formed between the two. Horses are sensory seeking; they rely on emotional balance to survive all kinds of environments. They choose to either flee, fight or freeze. Participants connect with the horses through building a relationship which is built on self-awareness of their own behaviour patterns & how horses respond to that. EAL is a memorable journey of personal challenges & achievements. Horses live in the moment so will mirror our emotions when we interact with them. They are so intuitive & pick up on our energy levels. Through my safe guidance & explaining this to participants, they learn how to ground themselves & be present. As facilitator, I provide support that gives opportunity to step further in the participants personal development by partnering them with a horse in our herd they feel safe with & have that 1-on-1 guidance by myself throughout the experiences.
**Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) at Donovan Park is all done on the ground. There is no horse riding in the EAL sessions.**
Cancellation Policy
In order for my business to remain sustainable I require at least 7 day’s notice of your intention to cancel your booking. If less than 7 day’s notice to cancel is provided the booked session will still be charged the full fee. In the event of a prepaid package a credit may be given to rebook provided a doctor’s certificate is provided in the event of unavoidable medical reasons
